In all my time here I don't think I've ever actually written a rant. However, I may be wrong so don't quote me. This is rather lengthy too, I've put a lot of thought into everything that I've said. And if you disagree with something that I've said please don't get pissed at me, I don't mind if you disagree just do it in a polite fashion. Thanks.

The first thing I want to touch on is referencing. Yeah, I know that I'm known as a 'copy artist' or a "pose-ripper'; whatever you want to call it. But that's not my point. I could care less what you think about it because it's my style of 'drawing' and I don't intend on changing that anytime soon. If you don't like my gallery, all I ask is stay away. Nothing more. I stay away from people's galleries who I don't like and it's common courtesy just to do the same. And technically, you can't copyright a pose. =/

And what is with dA and stupid fights lately? I mean, I knew the main population was pretty young but this brings immaturity to a new level: [link] The name and icon has been removed for privacy's sake (I don't believe in naming people for bad reasons in my journal) and even if you guess who it is, or who it's directed at I won't tell you whether you are correct or not. People in general really need to learn how to deal with situations in a fashionable manner, rather than just swearing at them. It's better to show that you can be mature in a tense situation, rather than show people you can cuss.

Which brings me to art thieves. I really don't understand why there are such rude comments on their sites. There are basically two types or art thieves: 1) The type that knows what they are doing and do it basically for fun, or for the 'lulz' and 2) The type that really have no idea what they are doing is wrong. I haven't ever encountered a thief otherwise. Type 1 just loves getting all those cussing comments because basically, that's what they made the account for and type 2 well... they probably don't really know what's going on. They need someone to explain to them calmly that what they are doing is wrong.

And what's this crap about copying characters? I was reading a friends post the other day and they brought to my attention a picture in which there were 'copying' issues. So I go and look a the picture and there are what, 2 similarities between that one and the one that it's supposedly 'copied' after? And I'm not talking about poses here, but design. And then only today I came across another comment where a user asked another user to take the bandages off of the back legs of their character because it reminded the original user of their fursona. WTF!? Like everyone's character has bandages, that to me is an unrealistic demand.

Oh and you know what else I especially hate? People who make a big deal about 'leaving dA' or whatever and then they come back the next day. Seriously guys, if you are going to leave, then fucking leave. Don't come back and say "Oh, well I felt sorry for leaving all my friends" *give me sympathyplz*. That just drives me up the wall. If any of the people I watch do that, consider yourself unwatched.

Another thing I wanted to talk about is my characters. Well I'm not sure if many of you knew this, but I got into a HUGE fight with two of my closest friends which originated from the altering/changing of my characters. They were the two who I used to talk about my characters the most to: who I was planning on making, what their designs would look like, etc. And if you know me, my mind changes like wildfire, so I'd always be changing this and that detail. (This was not the cause of my absence from dA earlier though; that was because of exams and overall stress.) These two particular people were getting angry at me for making so many changes and constantly changing my mind. I just want to make it clear, that they are my characters and I will do what I like with them whether you like them or not. I now don't talk to anyone about the creation of new characters because it only causes problems.

The previous argument however, led to a new one (never ending, huh?) with one of the same people. Supposedly on how I've 'changed'. It was brought to my attention that 'all I cared about was popularity' etc. When really, that is not one of my concerns. I really could care less how many favorites/comments/watchers I get (although each and every one is appreciated), but it's more of true friends that I care about. To learn about one another, and get to know each other better. That is kind of my goal of being a deviantART member. Also, to get better in my artistic abilities, but that isn't a major concern for me.

So if you think that I've made a major change (whether you like it or dislike it) I would appreciate it if you could bring it to my attention. I won't get angry with anyone. xD

Now things still aren't going very well with that same 'friend' and some things were said to me that really hurt my feelings. Then only the other day, I was hurt by another of my friends that lead to just more general sadness. I've kind of learned that you can't 'trust' your 'friends' and from now on I won't be trusting people quite so easily.

Anyways, none of this was written or directed towards anyone (don't think you are that special aha) so please don't take offense.

I may add more later as I think of it.
